What does a graphic designer do?

A graphic designer (also known as a visual communicator) assembles images, typography or motion graphics to create a piece of design. They create artwork mainly for published, printed or digital media. They may have skills in typesetting, illustration, design and layout working on various platforms for print and web. The aim of the designer is to present information in a way that is both engaging and memorable.
